For $15-$20, Heath-Zenith, GE, Hampton Bay, Honeywell and others have a basic doorbell that is pretty reliable.  Of the four named, I like Honeywell best.

As long as it is sturdy and the range is sufficient, should work!

Interested to see what others suggest.

Does anyone have any recommendations for wireless doorbells for alerting caregivers?  I have a patient who needs to buy one and I'm not sure if I should recommend just any old one at Home Depot or look for a certain brand/model.  My patient has good use of her hands, so it doesn't need to be modified for a switch.

Sincerely,
