Amanda,

Here is a wireless joystick that has switch ports:

FYI, the Grid Pad 12 has an HDMI connection, so you could connect the Grid Pad to his TV with a long cable, but that may not suffice his needs.

Another idea if/when eye gaze is needed would be to use something like team viewer or splashtop desktop to allow the eye gaze computer to "control" the TV computer. Not sure how useable this method is as it is a screen within a screen, but it should be technically possible.  You would want to trial this as you want to verify that the mouse "click" are registered via eye gaze - I have used some programs that do not recognize eye gaze "click" as mouse clicks - hope this makes sense.

Sincerely,

Hello-

I have a unique set up that I'm hoping you might have some ideas for. I have a guy who uses his computer as his family's TV, so it is on a wall across from his recliner and the couch. He has been controlling it with a wireless mouse, but that is getting harder.

The distance is what's getting me here. I set him up with a large joystick switch adapted controller, but I can't find a wireless one with the switch adaption options, so I used a 12' usb extension cord to get it to connect. This works decently, but soon he'll need something else.

We talked about an eye gaze SGD and screen-sharing, but he really wants to directly control his computer on the wall. I tried a head mouse with him, but his neck muscles are going, so this doesn't seem like the best choice, plus it was hard to be accurate with the distance.

What am I not thinking of?

Thanks!
