Yes, I love this feature and many clients I have use this. One guy told me he leaves it on all night, wife in other room...so if he needs anything she can hear...but I just don't know if it's meant to be on 8 hours/day and if used for safety/call chimes I'm always weary that the tech/wi-fi might fail. BUT also, haven't heard of anyone with good wifi having drop-in issues though so that's good.

Some people ALSO might find the one-way intercom useful as well. The command is, "Alexa, announce --insert something to announce--" and Alexa will broadcast whatever you announce one-time throughout ALL the Alexa devices in the household. For alternative speech, it can not only be programmed as one quick fire TTS button but it can even be typed within the Alexa app on a phone to be broadcasted. I like it because it removes extra interaction response's and is quick..but then there is a chance the recipient might not hear the one-time announcement so I guess it depends on the situation.
