There are apps, such as TouchCopy and EaseUS MobiMover, that allow you to transfer iPhone contact lists to Windows 10 devices. Even though your client would then have to copy and paste (or have someone manually add them) into the Communicator texting program (assuming he is open to using this) to send the initial message, they wouldn’t expire.
MobiMover also has a strategy for transferring SMS and MMS text messages to a Windows 10 device, though it looks like it’s only a storage solution.

It works with iphone unlike many of the other mirroring apps, but I don’t have a handle on how reliable or any feedback yet on long term use. But for access to iphone….

This question is for those of you who support pALS wanting to text with some method of connecting their iPhone to their SGD. I used to recommend that people with iPhones and Verizon service download the Windows 10 Verizon app, which essentially put their phone and all its contacts onto their SGD, making it easy to send/receive text messages if they were able to use the computer features of the SGD. There have been a lot of changes with those apps, and since I don't have Verizon myself, I've been unable to check it out in person. Here's my challenge:
pALS is using a Tobii Dynavox i13 SGD with eye gaze access. He accesses the desktop via Computer control and is computer savvy and competent with the tech. He wants all his contacts from his iPhone available. It has not been possible to connect his iPhone to the i13 via bluetooth. We have used What's App, which works well but he really wants all his iPhone contacts and texts.
I have recently suggested he consider the VerizonMessages app from the Windows store. It appears that it will sync everything and keep his text messages in the same place. I have 2 concerns. 1) Does it really work (I can't test it), and 2) the info on the Windows store states that conversations are organized in one place and saved on your device for 90 days. I would prefer an option that saves them eternally until I delete them.
I'm open to any suggestions.
Thanks in advance,
Lisa
