I would rec that you start trialing dwell software, a very functional program can be downloaded for free here. http://www.polital.com/pnc/
If you really just want to switch activate the mouse click I often recommend against a USB switch activated mouse as they are always tending to move on me. I prefer a direct switch interface such as the hitch from Ablenet http://www.ablenetinc.com/Assistive-Technology/Computer-Access/Hitch . I really like the stealth switch as it gives me the option to activate macros. http://www.stealthswitchat.com/

I received the following email from a PALS looking for assistance. I asked if I could share with the group and he agreed. He’d appreciate any ideas folks have.
Thanks,

I type and navigate online using an onscreen keyboard, moving a mouse with my right hand, and tapping my laptop's mouse buttons with a knuckle on my left hand. I need an inexpensive alternative to using the mouse buttons on the laptop (at least a left click; right click option would be a bonus). I'd prefer some kind of switch(es). It would need to be compatible with Windows 7 and Google Chrome.
Holding the mouse can also be difficult at times and my speech is too unclear for voice recognition.
Here is how I currently type: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1FETEocqc4c . Any suggestions?
