I’ve met similar needs using the Allora 2 device- it has a dual display. The display may be detached (it has its own built in speaker and can be either worn on a lanyard around the neck or just placed upon a table).

Greetings.
Any ideas for AAC device/attachment that allows the communicative partner to read what AAC user is typing without looking over her shoulder.
My initial/only thought is using notes on an iphone/ipod and than handing it over for the other to read.
