Advocate staff photo by RICHARD ALAN HANNON Senate Sgt. at Arms Gregory Vince Nelson searches through 144 mannequins erected by the ALS Association of Louisiana and Mississippi on the steps of the State Capitol in Baton Rouge Wednesday to find the name of his friend, a former Marine who was taken by Lou Gehrig's disease, and just remember him. The traveling exhibit was installed by ALS Association Louisiana chapter volunteer Terry Singer whose son-in-law died at age 35 from ALS. Every 90 minutes someone dies someone dies in the US from the disease, and every 90 minutes someone is diagnosed, Singer said.
