How about downloading the TV remote app from his cable company? For example I use the Comcast app to change channels since my children lost our remote. The app is on my iPhone/iPad and if your PALS can't use his hands in the future you could switch out the iPhone to scanning.

I transition many of our PALS to switch scanning on the iPhone/iPad

I am full of questions today! (Always happens day after clinic)

Recommendations for pALS with severe upper motor weakness but no dysarthria who would like to operate his remote for T.V.? He is still using his iphone some so I recommended some remote control apps. Another patient told me about a touch screen remote that retailed upwards of 300$. Alternative suggestions?
