You can set the Auto-Lock to "Never" (Settings, General, Auto-Lock). Of course this will drain the battery faster, so you can decrease the brightness to help extend the battery, but once the screen locks, the only way to "way it up" is to press the home button. The only other idea I have is if you have a Bluetooth keyboard paired, pressing keys on the Bluetooth keyboard will "wake up" the screen. This could be done via a bluetooth keypad - all you have to do is hit a couple keys, or one of the other bluetooth switches that work with the iPad to send the signal.Sincerely,Antoinette Verdone, MSBME, ATPOwner, Rehabilitation EngineerImproveAbility, LLCOffice: 512-522-1705Cell: 512-497-6026Email: xxxxxx@improveability.comFax: 888-501-1009Address: 7301 Burnet Rd, Suite 102-265, Austin, TX 78757DARS Provider# 1-274278960-0-000

Subject: Swipe on iPadHello everyoneI am trying to find a work around for some clients who can not swipe to unlock/open the iPad. I thought there was a solution for this but I have not found it in accessibility. Any help you could offer would be great. Thanks
