Hi Alisa-
With Kinect voice recognition, you can control and interact with an Xbox One console by using voice commands. This allows access to the TV and Netflix, etc.
We recently had someone use it beautifully.
It may be an option in this case, especially if the person already has one and can try it first.
Thanks,
Sara

Subject: Television voice activated remote
Hi folks,
Anyone know of a voice activated remote? I used to purchase the Invoca but the product has been discontinued. Any feedback appreciated.
------------------
My dad has ALS and he can barely move his arms and one finger. In order to give him some independence, I have been looking for either a voice activated universal remote control or tv
with such capabilities. To date, the only ones I have found require a button to be pushed to activate. This will not work for him since he currently only has movement in one finger and that probably won't last much longer. Is there any product you can recommend?
Any help you can give me would be very much appreciated.
