How about apps like Aida-Reminder and Nudge-Reminders. They are very simple. Also, Reminders! and Alarmed. They all have good features, depends on person and needs.

Hello,
 
I am working with a client that has trouble keeping track of time as well as responding to timers.
 
I am looking for an app or apps (or device) that would assist with keeping track of time - knowing how much time has passed as well as a altering app that would keep notifying you until you mark it as complete.  For the alerts, she has used the built in calendar alerts, but the issue is that when the notification goes away, she does not remember to do the task and needs to keep being reminded until she goes in and marks it as done.
 
All suggestions welcome.
