Hi Julia,

We've used the Blueant S4, BlueAnt commute and blueant commute 2. We really like them and recommend them for most patients.

A solution that we've used for "Hey Siri" is to get a battery back up for the iPhone and keep it plugged in. It works just like it is plugged into the wall, but it is portable.

These are two options that we recommend:
Mophie case- http://www.amazon.com/s?ie=UTF8&field-brandtextbin=Mophie&page=1&rh=n%3A2335752011
Jackery Charger - http://www.amazon.com/Jackery-Mini-Portable-Charger-3200mAh/dp/B00AA6CS86/ref=sr_1_1?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1442795442&sr=1-1&keywords=jackery+charger

If the patient is in a wheelchair, we will use a Modularhose.com cellphone mount and velcro the phone and the jackery charger to the mount. Then place all of it on the patient's chair

As for answering the phone, like I said we use the Blueant a lot. We also use the Parrot Minikit Neo. But many of our patients prefer a private conversation. Therefore we recommend the plantronics voyager legend to accept or reject calls.

Plantronics: http://www.amazon.com/Plantronics-Voyager-Wireless-Bluetooth-Headset/dp/B00TJ0PGDS/ref=sr_1_1?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1442795539&sr=1-1&keywords=plantronics+voyager+legend

Minikit: http://www.amazon.com/Parrot-MINIKIT-Neo-Hands-Free-Bluetooth/dp/B0099S5MA2/ref=sr_1_1?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1442795618&sr=1-1&keywords=minikit+neo

Depending on the strength of her voice, one of these may pick it up better than another.

Good Luck!

I believe this has been discussed many times before, but I apologize because now I can't recall what the consensus was on the best solution...

I have an ALS pt with little-no upper extremity movement and mild-moderate dysarthria (still able to use Siri most of the time) - and she *really* wants to continue to use her iPhone.

I know we can use "Hey Siri" with the phone plugged in, but I have been told there is no way to answer an incoming call with Hey Siri.

Anyone know this product?

Looks like it may require a physical button press to listen for "dialing out" commands, but will respond to a voice command to answer incoming calls.  Was thinking I could maybe have her use it in combination with Hey Siri, though not entirely sure if the iPhone will attend to both voice control systems?

Thoughts?  Amazing work arounds I haven't considered?
