Hi,

I use the Proloquo4text often with great results.  It can easily transition from Spanish to English which is good for us.

Best,

Proloquo4text looks interesting -- I use Proloquo and like the keyboard -- haven't tried the app but it's got good reviews; priced at $119 -- tempting!

Otherwise I like the upgraded version of Verbally.

I am a big fan of Predictable ($160) and Assistive Express ($25) for iPad.  Especially like that Predictable allows for some built in message banking.

Know less about Android options, but have one client who really likes "Speech Assistant" on her Android phone. Not many bells and whistles, and I'm not sure exact price, but I think it's pretty cheap.

Hi Everyone,

This is my first time posting – I’m hoping to get a few thoughts on which iPad (or Android) apps are the best for someone with ALS who is very intelligent, runs a business, etc. but has bulbar onset.

Cost isn’t an issue, but I want to make sure I look at a few different solutions before advising him – he hasn’t purchased a tablet yet (so iPad vs. Samsung vs. Dell, etc?!)

My typical go-to app is Verbally, but I know there may be some better ones out there.

Thanks in advance!

Joanna
