Sesame Update 1.1 Available
Hi everyone!
We've been working hard taking feedback from users, fixing what's broken, adding the most requested features, and we are now happy to announce the release of
Sesame Update 1.1
The update will be automatically sent to existing Sesame Phones - You should receive a notification informing you of the new Sesame version. Once you approve, the update will download and install (Please note this requires an internet connection). In case you
don't get the notification in the next few days, please let us know at
xxxxxx@sesame-enable.com.
What's New?
-
Better Voice Detection
- We've addressed a common issue in which "Open Sesame" was not heard. The microphone now listens for the command as long as it is connected to a power source.
-
Voice Answer Incoming Calls
- An incoming call can now be addressed simply by saying "Sesame Answer" or
"Sesame Dismiss". You will notice the special ringtone supporting this.
-
Voice Detection on the Go -
You can now opt in settings to keep the microphone on even when device is not being charged (General -> Voice Activation Always On). Please note this has a toll on battery
life, so while not traveling connect the phone to a charger or turn this option off.
-
Better Experience After Losing Tracking
- We've worked hard to improve the underlying detection technology, and now if the phone loses sight of you it is super-easy to return to control.
-
Software Updates
- Some issues have been addressed in the update mechanism, and the option to manually check for updates has been added in Settings (About -> Check For Updates).
-
Slight Renaming
- What was before "Disable Voice Commands" in settings is now called
"Extended Sesame Voice Commands" and is reversed in meaning. This option adds additional Sesame voice commands at the expense of blocking the microphone for other apps.
Your original preferences will be kept through the update process in any case.
-
Stability and Usability
- Many small issues were solved, most of which you probably never noticed but bugged us as engineers :)
Please let us know how you find this update, and as always - if there are additional requests please let us know!
Best Regards,
The Sesame Team
