Is there a reason why you are looking at the Surface Book rather than a Surface Pro 4? The Surface Pro 4 should be sufficient for the various scenarios, and there are various
VESA mounts available.
http://www.amazon.com/Surface-Acrylic-POS-Security-Enclosure/dp/B00LHRABTK is one such example, and then you can go from VESA to whatever mount you need (such as DAESSY). On our setups we use a custom acrylic and 3d-printed case and a DAESSY mount system.
One way to power the surface is to install an inverter on the chair to get a standard 120V outlet, then run the surface power brick off of that.
The main difference between the Surface Book and the Surface Pro 4 in this scenario, if I am understanding the usage correctly, is the physical keyboard. Since the Surface
Pro 4 has a keyboard cover and can support whatever USB keyboard you want, I think its probably a better solution.

Subject: wheelchair mounting system for Surface book
Hi,
I have a client who is borrowing a Tobii device, using a headmouse. He has no insurance funding (hospice) unable to use eye gaze due to multiple issues including bipap mask, glasses and prior eye surgeries.
Does really well with the headmouse.
He sants to have his own software and programs for confidentiality in email, online banking, investments, etc.
He is considering purchasing the Surface Book and he will use Tobii Communicator 5 software for speech output.
Any thoughts or suggestions pro/con use of the Surface book? Any other laptops work really well instead of the Surface book?
Any recommendations about mounting this to his power wheelchair?
Thanks in advance for your suggestions and feedback.
