If you are trying to go as low cost as possible, I would look at the options from Modular Hose:

I am sure they could make something work with this system.  The biggest drawback is that a caregiver would need to set up and remove everytime.  But, for $100 you will be giving up the flexibility of a more expensive system.

RAM also has some tablet mounts that could be modified to work as well:

Both of these options would take a tinkerer to work out the details, but it would be possible, and for a relatively low price.

Here is a company that combines their parts with RAM parts:

Subject: wheelchair mounting system for Surface book

Hi,

I have a client who is borrowing a Tobii device, using a headmouse.  He has no insurance funding (hospice) unable to use eye gaze due to multiple issues including bipap mask, glasses and prior eye surgeries.

Does really well with the headmouse.

He sants to have his own software and programs for confidentiality in email, online banking, investments, etc.

He is considering purchasing the Surface Book and he will use Tobii Communicator 5 software for speech output.

Any thoughts or suggestions pro/con use of the Surface book?  Any other laptops work really well instead of the Surface book?

Any recommendations about mounting this to his power wheelchair?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions and feedback.
