Subject: Request your guidance

Dear Ms. Brownlee,

Greetings !

My name is Sonia. This mail comes from New Delhi, India. I am looking for some guidance and I came across your coordinates.

My brother in law had a severe brain haemorrhage 26 years back that left him very badly paralysed and with a slurred speech. We had him go through  speech therapy sessions with not much help.

There is so much advancement in technology that we thought that there could be some development which could help him. His good arm & hand has a coordination problem.

Can there be any device that could help him communicate. I’ve had a look at the various speech generating devices on the net, but many are text to speech and with his uncoordinated hand movements , that looks quite difficult.

Please do guide as to what we could buy/do to help him communicate better.

Thanks & Best Regards,

Sonia Narula
