I have three people using them right now. Two use it in place of a low-tech Etran board. It is faster and has less user error. They both use an eye-gaze SGD for their primary communication method. The other uses it for her primary communication system as she cannot eye-track on an SGD, finds scanning on an SGD to be too slow, and it is faster than any of the other low tech methods.

I've gotten a lot of positive feedback. The only problem is that it is not funded by insurance.

Yes, it is an electronic version of an eye gaze board. I think it is a great option for those that use this method a lot as it takes the stress off of the caregiver to remember what is being spelled. Just remember that this method only works if you can get face to face with the PALS, so if someone is laying down, it is not practical.
