Hi Atoinette,
I have met with the developers but didn't get a chance to try Mindscribe. It is a single-electrode switch which is activated by alpha brainwaves. It's in development but the company hopes to offer an inexpensive wearable, wireless brain computer interface (BCI ) option.  It reminds me of the Emotiv headset that is currently available though not cheap.

The Mindscribe challenge will be collecting enough information from a single electrode. Also, as you know,  it does take training to control one's alpha brainwaves unlike a more automatic response like P300 waves. It likely will be easy for some users and impossible for others.  I'm glad a few startups are working on this technology.  For those who have not seen a wearable BCI, here is a link to a 5 minute video of the Emotiv BCI system being trialed at our ALS Center.     Limited or Hands-Free Computer Access - Amy and Pals

The Emotiv trial is the the last video on the page.

Hopefully someone on this list will get a chance to try some of these BCI systems back to back and let us know what they think. What are some of the BCI systems people are actively using?
