Meditation training for people with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis: a randomized clinical trial
Bottom line is >>>Discussion
Our results indicate that ALS-specific meditation training improves the QOL of people with ALS. Furthermore, in comparison with those who received the standard care, participants who joined the MBSR-ALS
course reported lower levels of anxiety and depression. These results confirm the initial hypothesis. To our knowledge, this is the first randomized clinical trial that has investigated the effects of a psychological intervention on the QOL of people with
ALS.
