RE: Voice of the Provider (VOP)
As you may know, Paralyzed Veterans of America (Paralyzed Veterans) funds projects at the University of Pittsburgh’s Human Engineering Research Laboratory (HERL) to address the mobility needs of veterans and others living
with spinal cord injuries and diseases. Throughout our partnership with HERL, we have seen many mutual benefits. Many of you who attend the National Veterans Wheelchair Games or other Paralyzed Veterans’ events may have met Dr. Rory Cooper and his HERL team.
The team now needs input from healthcare providers. Please take a few moments to respond and forward this request to your colleagues.
The Provision Process and the Future of Wheelchairs and Assistive Technology
Rory Cooper, PhD, of the Human Engineering Research Laboratories (HERL) and the University of Pittsburgh is teaming up with Paralyzed Veterans to learn about the assistive devices you use, and your opinions concerning devices
that may be available in the future. HERL is specifically conducting a survey to gather input on research and development from assistive technology clinicians and professionals. I hope that you will take a few moments to share with us your knowledge by completing
the survey at: http://tiny.cc/vopsurvey
If clicking the link does not work, please cut and paste the link into your Internet browser. If you are unable to access the Internet or have questions about the research study, please contact HERL’s Clinical Coordinators
at 412-822-3700.
We are asking that you share this information with your contacts / social media / newsletters / magazines to assist us in recruiting wheeled mobility device clinicians and professionals.
All Survey results are confidential.
