According to our local office there are no new grants for DME purchases.  The $500/year DME upgrade/repair fund is still available, though. 

 

They hope to raise enough money to reinstate the $2000 grant at some point but they are not there yet.

Hi everyone,

 

I have a question regarding grant money for Speech generating devices. The last I heard the MDA no longer had any grant money for DME. Then this week I had a patient tell me that her MDA representative informed her that they had just received a new, large grant. Has anyone else heard this? I have a patient with medicare only and I really want to get her a device but her out of pocket will be 1500.00 plus. Any ideas??
