appreciate that it would be much better to have a loaner Lightwriter, but
just a reminder that it’s always good to have low tech communication
board as a backup. A
friend of mine took his LightWriter to England for 2 weeks. On his first
day there it stopped working. He ended up using his low tech
communication board (it was roughly the same size as the
LightWriter). It
wasn’t ideal, but it did let him get

guess it’s because we are funding the repair through insurance and
the tech informed me it would take much longer to do it this way. Wanting
to cover all bases. Even if it only takes 3 weeks- that’s 3 weeks
without communication and I’d hate to not have an

out of curiosity, why is it taking so long for her to get her LightWriter
fixed? Is Tobii doing it? It shouldn’t take any more than 3 weeks at

MDA loaner closet (here in California) does anyone have a suggestion for
getting a loaner Lightwriter for a patient who has to send in her device
for repair?? Her device is
likely to be gone for about 2-3 months and I’m having trouble finding
her a loaner type and talk device to use in the mean
time. She lives in
Merced California. Any help welcome
