Last I heard (but it has been a couple of years)
Wadsworth was selling a
version of their P300. Certainly not
selling in the sense of supporting
it like a Dynavox or My Tobii, I
might be inclined to have a discussion
with them about what kind of
support and trouble shooting was
available...
And I tend
to think that it was among the most promising of the BCI
stuff out
there, especially contrasted with something like Audeo that I
have not
really seen working with advanced ALS, or Brain gate that needs
a brain
surgery!
There is also the system from Germany. I think they
have a US rep in
texas, but am completely blanking on the name and have
a pt coming. If
someone else does not chime in, I will look it
up. But it was a far
more expensive piece of tech than the
Wadsworth stuff.

Re: BCI on the Market?
Hi,
I have a pALS in the SF Bay Area who I
really want to get set up with
BCI.
What options exist outside of
studies
at this point? I think I heard
that the P300 technology is
on the market? True? Does anyone have
thoughts or reviews of
this or others available BCIs on the
market?
Thanks!

While I'm in BCI research, I'm not thinking of a study group in the
DC
area off the top of my head. It also depends on what you mean
by a
study. If you are talking about a study that will provide a BCI to
use
independently in the home, there just aren't many of those
yet. The
biggest is headquartered in Albany, NY at the Wadsworth
Center. They
have a multi-site study assiciated with VA hospitals
starting up, but I
don't know many of the details or where all the sites
are.
