Hi – I’m starting up a small business that will sell low
tech
communication aides. I was recently on the Vidatak website, and I noticed that
they had
posted: “For Medicare or insurance claims use HCPCS
Code E1902” http://www.vidatak.com/home.htm
(E1902 is a
communication board, or non-electronic AAC device) I am planning on selling some large, vinyl communication
boards
which can cost over $100 to get printed up. I’m looking into some
sort of
way to possibly get the boards funded for people. 1.
Has anyone ever used E1902 to fund a communication
board? (I would love it if I could get adapted laser pointers funded
by
Medicare. However, because the laser pointer uses a battery, I
don’t
think they could be considered as
“non-electronic”.) 2.
Does anyone have any thoughts on what HCPCS code a laser might
be
able to go under? Thanks for your thoughts on this- Margaret Cotts |
