Amy,
Thank you so much for the information.  You are the only one who replied to my e-mail.  Do you think it's because no one using the voice banking?  I am offering it to my patients and they seem very excited.  Just wanted to know your thoughts.
Thanks,
Karen

Hi Karen,

I use an Olympus digital voice recorder (nothing fancy) then transfer files to my office PC for storage.  When needed, the wav files can easily be transferred to most SGDs via flash drive.

For patients who prefer to do it on their own, I provide instructions from www.augcomsol.com – courtesy of the ModelTalker folks plus Bruce Fleming, Dave Beukelman & Michelle Gutmann.  I’ve attached the PDF.

Hope that helps!

Amy

Subject: [Assistive Technology] Voice Banking

Is anyone using voice banking with their ALS patients? If so, what are you using (e.g., special program, recording to personal computers, etc.) and how is it working for you?   Any information would be MOST helpful!  Thank you so much!

Karen
