I think I did, I don’t have the computer in front of me.

I think it has something to do with SAPI4/SAPI5???  I may be going back to the home, and I can try again.

Did you restart your computer after installing the voices? That may be the problem.

If that doesn’t fix it, try going to your control panel, and making it the L & H voice the default voice.  Then go to Etriloquist, to the speech settings, and select it.

Hi Antoinette,

Check out the voices for sale at www.nextup.com.  Only the AT&T and Cepstral voices will work with Etriloquist (Acapela and RealSpeak require that you purchase the NextUp Talker software).  The voices cost $30-35 each.

RealSpeak (for NextUp Talker) has a female Brazilian Portuguese voice, but no male voice.

I am working with a Brazilian man who has an ALS.  I am trying to get him set up on etriloquist.  But, the only voice option I have is “Anna.”

How do I install a male (English) voice?  Also, is there a portguese voice available that will run on his machine?

I did not look to see if he has a 32-bit or 64-bit machine – if that makes a difference, I can find out.

Thanks,
