I received this email from Major League
Baseball. Michael Goldsmith is the PALS who wrote in Newsweek
magazine that MLB should honor Lou Gehrig on the 70th anniversary of his
"Luckiest Man" speech. Because of Michael the 4ALS campaign was
created and the country became much more aware of Lou Gehrig and
ALS.
Our thanks to MLB for recognizing Michael and
honoring him and all of our PALS at the World Series
tonight.

Time Subj: World Series Game 5 dedication
Dear All,
It is with profound
sadness that we learned of Michael Goldsmith's passing. A tremendous loss
for all who knew and loved him.
We feel extraordinarily lucky to
have known -- and been inspired-- by Michael. His passion, dedication and
ability to galvanize so many on behalf of the ALS cause was truly
incredible.
In honor of the ALS cause -- and in memory of Michael --
MLB is dedicating tonight's game, Game 5 of the World Series, to
4ALS.
Through dedicated advertising support (via FOX, MLB.com, MLB
Network, and in stadium) we hope to leverage the World Series platform to
increase awareness and support for the cause.
Please share
this message with others from your organization who are on the 4ALS
team. And, as always, thank you for all you do for this important
effort.
Sincerely,
Kate
Don't miss any of the action of the 2009 Major League
