Alisa IR issue. Not sure if I understand what you are saying, but I had a problem with one of the other eyegaze systems in that its infra red “floodlights” illuminated a IR receiver which controlled a profiling bed & prevented in from working. We had to hide the receiver from the eyegaze floods but keep it visible to the bed remote control. Both suppliers said it wasn’t a problem they’d come across & I couldn’t find another solution. So if the Tobii is interfering with the TV you might solve it by placing the tv behind the Tobii. If the IR from the Tobi is still getting to the tv by bouncing off walls etc, try putting a fabric curtain (eg) behind the user to absorb the light.
Please forgive me if I’ve misunderstood.

Hi Alisa,
Pretty crummy response from Tobii. Hmmmmm...
1. Here is an IR forum I found on Google. http://www.remotecentral.com/cgi-bin/mboard/rc-sat/thread.cgi?2882 I don't know if this will help but it better than nothing. CNET has a forum too that you may want to browse: http://forums.cnet.com/7723-7596_102-225715.html I don't know if the individual has HD TV or this is not an issue.
2. I have heard from my rep. AT & T cell phones were tested on the Tobii products. I have not used this feature myself. I know I have watched a webinar on the process. Here is the link to past webinars http://www.tobiiati.com/corporate/training/recorded_webinars/mytobii_p10.aspx I would suggest having the family check with family and friends if someone has AT&T and then try it to see if it works or take it to a store to see if one of them would work.
Good Luck!

[mailto:xxxxxx@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Alisa Brownlee Hello all,
We have a PALS here at clinic today relating problems with his P-10. According to PALS and his wife, Tobii has stated that this is not a problem they have had with their devices and company can not solve issue right now. So, I am looking to the listserv to see if any of you have heard of these issues happening.
1. IR issues. Family can't use their own remote without covering the Tobii with a blanket. The IR are intereferring with each other and now the PALS can't use the IR feature at all in the Tobii.
2. Cell phone. PALS was told any cell phone could be adapted into the Tobii but this has proven not true. PALS now has a phone that is compatible with Tobii but can't initiate a text message. He can respond, but not initiate.
Any help will be appreciated.
