Hi Antoinette- I can’t speak to the Mini-Merc, per se,
but… I think for any Windows based
SGD: 1.
If you need a Romance language 2.
And you can find a Windows based SAPI-compatible
speech
synthesizer If you type in that language, I think it should work.
(You
might also need to make a keyboard with accent marks). I think you
might
want to go with SAPI 4, rather than SAPI 5. I believe Cepstral and Acapela both have Italian
TTS. Cepstral has what looks like a female Italian voice you can
download
and play around with. I’m not 100% sure it will work, but I imagine if you
download the voice, install it, then choose it from the list of voices, it
will
probably work. (This strategy should work for all Windows based
SGDs)….
I’m going to try downloading it to see how it works on my Vmax.
