[mailto:xxxxxx@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Margaret Cotts Hi
Antoinette- I can’t
speak
to the Mini-Merc, per se, but… I think
for
any Windows based SGD: 1.
If
you need a Romance language 2.
And you can find a Windows based
SAPI-compatible
speech synthesizer If you type in
that
language, I think it should work. (You might also need to make a
keyboard
with accent marks). I think you might want to go with SAPI 4, rather
than
SAPI 5. I believe
Cepstral
and Acapela both have Italian TTS. Cepstral has
what
looks like a female Italian voice you can download and play around
with. I’m not
100%
sure it will work, but I imagine if you download the voice, install it,
then
choose it from the list of voices, it will probably work. (This
strategy
should work for all Windows based SGDs)…. I’m going to
try
downloading it to see how it works on my Vmax. I’ll let you
know… Take
care, Margaret
