I would agree.
I have never seen neo speech available
on
a SGD, which does not mean it is not possible. But I see AT&T
voices
much more commonly. TO my ear, I do not hear much of a difference
between
AT&T and Neo speech but I suppose that lies in the ear of the Be…
Hearer?... This website is nice for a comparison,
and
lets you put in your own text(complete with pronunciation editor) or hear
the
different voices side by side. http://www.naturalreaders.com/sample.htm Ed Hitchcock

staff person. Anyone have any input on Neospeak?
Thanks I am working with a pALS who is resisting
using
an AAC device because the voices on the equipment he has seen other pALS
use
sounds too computer-generated. His wife is asking for
information
about Neospeak which she describes as “a more natural
voice”.
I am not able to find anything about Neospeak on the internet. Do you
know anything about this product? Or can you recommend a device that
comes with a “a more natural voice”. This pALS speech
impairment has advanced beyond being able to do voice
banking.
Please feel
free
to put this message out on the AT listserve for additional input from the
group. Thanks Alisa Brownlee,
