The ALS Association, Greater New York Chapter, has an opening for an Occupational Therapist.

 

This position would be to serve as the Occupational Therapist on the multidisciplinary team for the ALS Certified Center at Beth Israel Medical Center. 

 

As part of the team, the Occupational Therapist’s responsibilities are to:

-          evaluate patient’s current functional status

-          recommend appropriate adaptive equipment, including ADL equipment and positioning recommendations

-          recommend equipment for immediate use through the chapter’s durable medical equipment loan closet

-          refer patients to outside facilities for further evaluation and treatment

-          work with the multidisciplinary team to find creative solutions to patient’s issues

-          follow up with patients and vendors

 

The clinic meets every Monday from 9AM-5PM.  This position is for Monday’s only.

 

License to practice OT in New York State required.
