Ready, set, go, SUBMIT!

 Deadline: November 1, 2011

The ISAAC 2012 Call for Papers is open! We're calling all potential authors to start submitting their proposals for the 15th Biennial ISAAC Conference in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA on July 30 - August 2, 2012. Thank you, Rose Sevcik and Donald Fuller for chairing the Scientific Program committee and helping to design the electronic website to submit proposals. The ISAAC 2012 Program includes 3 conference threads: Clinical/Educational; Research; People Who Use AAC (PWUAAC). The 2012 biennial introduces an innovative conference thread for proposals specific to the interests of PWUAAC. AAC speakers, family members and other AAC stakeholders interested in attending consumer-related sessions have conference offerings for the full 4-day program schedule.

The electronic submission process is easy - just go to www.isaac2012.org/callforpapers.php and click the link to enter the Call for Papers area. For authors requiring an alternative accessible form for submission, click on the 508 submission form and download the form to complete and submit.

The following information from the website may be helpful as you start to prepare your proposal submission. Submissions will include complete author information (affiliation, and mailing and electronic contact addresses) and a biographical statement (up to 200 words). Each proposal will include its title (15 words maximum), an abstract (150 words), and a proposal summary (1000 word maximum, including up to 10 reference citations). Proposals will be peer reviewed and evaluated on their quality, content, and significance. Only papers that have not been published previously will be accepted. Submissions will be accepted in English only and only via the ISAAC web site.

ISAAC members can download a flyer promoting the Call for Papers at the bottom of the Call for Papers webpage at the ISAAC 2012 website. Go to www.isaac2012.org; click on Call for Papers button, scroll to click on the ISAAC2012 download .pdf.

USSAAC especially encourages YOU to submit a proposal - and reach out to people who use AAC and other stakeholders from around the United States to consider submitting a proposal and attending ISAAC 2012.
