Hi Erin and Listserv,
I went over a bump in the BART shuttle and accidentally sent the last email before I cleaned it up or put the LA contact info in.  In the LA area speech therapists can request AAC loans for pALS  through:

Jamie Aronson Or Ilyssa Abaranok.
xxxxxx@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
(818)856-8067

Two typo corrections from last email  -
Caroline Zentner is how you spell the BA Library Manager's name and you can reach her at xxxxxx@xxxxxxxxx.

CCAF is the CA Communication Access Foundation.

Please do let us know if we can get any equipment out to your patients for trials, while they are waiting for their own equipment or if they don't qualify for insurance funding of SGDs.

Sincerely,

Hi Erin,
The Golden West ALSA has a huge AAC Lending Library. Our biggest hurtle is getting word out but WE ARE HERE in Hooville. Actually we are in  San Fransisco and this year, with the support of the CA Communication Foundation, ALSA opened a new branch in LA too.
I'll ask Caroline, our library manager to put one of our SL40s on hold for you. Call or email her to have it shipped.

Aside from the MDA loaner closet (here in California) does anyone have a suggestion for getting a loaner Lightwriter for a patient who has to send in her device for repair??

Her device is likely to be gone for about 2-3 months and Iâm having trouble finding her a loaner type and talk device to use in the mean time.

She lives in Merced California. Any help welcome thanks!
