You probably need to make sure that whatever Onscreen keyboard you are using is responding to mouse click, as opposed to dwell???

That being said, if you already have REACH, it has a lot of wonderful scanning single or double switch options and I believe it is pretty well integrated with ScanBuddy.  I would second the idea of calling AHF.

Using Scanbuddy on an onscreen keyboard vs. using a scanning keyboard period would be a pain even assuming you get it working.

From what I can find, it should be replacing the mouse functions – maybe Visa has to be updated, or some obscure setting has to be changed.

I would call the manufacturer and see what they say http://www.ahf-net.com/contact.htm

Subject: [Assistive Technology] computer access question

I have a patient who is using Scan Buddy switch access scanning software to access the computer. It is running Vista. She is doing great with navigation, but cannot get the software to work with an onscreen keyboard. She has tried Click n Type, OnScreen, REACH, and the built-in Vista OSK. Does anyone have any suggestions for how she can “type” using the switch access scanning software?

Thanks!
