Have not tried this specifically.  Have tried Cameramouse (which is free) a few years back.  It works but…  Very sensitive to background movement (for example if someone walked behind me while I was using it) and it is nowhere near as sensitive or easy to control as a dot system like smartnav.  But still, an option.

 

I do not know if claro mouse is an improvement or different software package, the overall concept has been around for a while and at times, companies have started supporting and charging for it.
