The 2018 RESNA Call for Papers is now open.  The conference will be July 11-15, 2018 in the Washington DC area.  Please consider submitting a proposal and sharing your AAC/Assistive Technology knowledge!

 

The RESNA research committee is looking for AAC related topics in the following areas:

 

Best practices for:

1. School Age AAC and computer access, both low tech and high tech

2. School-age solutions for reading, writing, and access to the curriculum

2. Employment for non-speaking people who use AAC systems

 

Integration

1. Integration of AAC to assist consumers in communication via email, social media, and more

2. Importance of technology integration, such as communication devices with wheelchair

 

New stuff:

1. Current trends in AAC

2. BCI developments and other new interfaces

 

In general, topics related to supporting school-age children with learning and access to the curriculum were mentioned numerous times.

 

Together, we will continue to promote technology solutions for people with disabilities.  Please consider joining us for this educational conference.
