As many of you know, The ALS Association hosts a national clinical conference every other year. Our next conference is scheduled for next year, 2018, in Fort Worth, Texas. The Call for Papers and Posters
will go out in late January or early February.
The ALS Association Clinical Conference will engage ALS/MND healthcare professionals and offer current information on best practices and guidelines, multidisciplinary team care and coordination, ALS-relevant programs and services, research updates, technology
for therapies, respiratory devices and augmentative communication, and will provide professional networking opportunities. This conference is being submitted for approval to several professional organizations. We will be applying for continuing education credits
for the following disciplines: registered dieticians, nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, respiratory therapists, social workers, and speech and language pathologists.
The conference will:
· Provide a venue to discuss new trends, share current practices, exchange ideas and successes and dialogue on challenges and potential solutions
· Cultivate a network of health professionals who support the advancement of knowledge and options for disease management in the field of ALS
· Provide educational opportunities and hands-on workshops for attendees on a variety of subjects directly related to healthcare professionals
