Hi Ed-
Thanks for the thought… I appreciate it…
We looked at using a pinch to zoom, but he had to use 2 fingers from two separate hands to do it…
I didn’t look at any of the low vision accessibility apps, because they didn’t seem relevant, but I will look into those, to see if there are any enlargement features that might help…
Thanks!
Margaret

Subject: [no phi] RE: Android for AAC/Accessibility
I have not seen a lot of options for accessibility settings for physical issues, beyond the previously discussed head mouse/alternate mouse idea. Would it help if the links were larger? Most of the up-to-date browsers including chrome and "Internet" that are on android 4.0 and 4.1 allow for a pinch to zoom feature that would make the links larger…

Subject: Android for AAC/Accessibility
Hi All-
I’ve changed the subject line a little…
I’ve been looking into accessibility on the Android tablet (in terms of the touch settings).
I have a friend who has somewhat limited dexterity. He is 100% accurate using an external keyboard, or a LightWriter, but his accuracy isn’t very good while clicking on links on the Android tablet. He tends to “push” the screen a little while trying to make his selection…
He tried out a capacitative stylus, which helps on links, but slows him down significantly when typing on the built in keyboard.
I have gone through the settings, but haven’t found anything that really addresses the issue, or makes typing more successful. I’ve also been looking for accessibility apps, but I haven’t found very much that helps for physical accessibility issues.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks!
Margaret
