Hello all and thank you for the incredible impact all your advice has made on the well being of the pALS I serve.
 
I have been mostly unsuccessful in using a rolling floor mount for a SGD with eyegaze access for someone in a recliner chair.  There is not enough clearance for the mount to roll under the chair and  I cannot seem to get the device positioned safely or closely enough.  My thoughts were to elevate the chair with some sort of blocks attached to the chair base,but that seems to have another set of problems associated with it. 
 
Many years ago I saw a hospital table that slid under the bed but did not have wheels in front.  Instead it had long prongs (sort of looks like a fork lift with flat blades projecting) .  This type of an arrangement would be really useful and would slid right under.  I have looked through most of the mounting company sites and have not seen any alternatives.    But instead of re-inventing the wheel I thought I would inquire of this most esteemed brain trust.  I am sure there is an obvious solution. 
Any ideas?  What do you do?
