You can use a Logitech Harmony Hub with Echo products. When you say "everything" - you cannot do everything with you voice, but you can turn on/off the system, go to specific channels, channel up/down, volume up/down, and mute (and more). You can also play and pause but that may not work in every system. It is the best option available, in my opinion at the moment.

BTW, I don't know how "techy" the person is, but you could give someone switch access to a mobile device, and they would then have control over everything via the app. But, if they are not techy, that could be too much.

Good afternoon - Anyone have any ideas on any good voice activated universal remote controls available on the market? This has to be total voice recognition as the patient I have has no use of his hands/arms. He has dishnetwork which has the voice recognition capabilities however you have to press and hold the voice button on the remote which is not helpful. He tried an amazon dot which states it works with the dishhopper however, it didn’t work for them. He is currently living in a nursing home and has to ask his neighbor to come change the tv channel for him.
