Sorry for cross-posting
We are lucky enough to be designing a new space for our technology center. As we move into the design stage, we are trying to get a variety of ideas regarding space utilization. We currently have three shelving units that hold our AAC devices, alternative
mice and keyboards and one for our EADL equipment as well as several cabinets that must be closed quickly before everything falls out.
The selves often look messy because of all the cords and charging needs. And equipment often gets left out and not put away because putting things away takes extra time. The result is our clinic often looks cluttered and messy.
We'd like to get some input from other technology centers to see if there are any creative ways other centers are organizing their space. While my crystal ball will not tell me what the future of technology will bring, there will still be things with cords (mice, keyboards, switches) or require some sort of charging.
Please feel free to contact me off-line if you have any ideas on how to organize switches, devices of various types and generally keep the clinic area looking tidy.
Thanks, Chris
