Really? I had no idea! Is this a new Chattervox model?
Sent from my iPhoneAmy, my Xiaokoa bluetooth mic from Amazon works with my Chattervox. Here is a link https://www.amazon.com/gp/Thanks to JOHN COSTELLO for introducing me to this mic!product/B01HOB5SKE/ref=oh_aui_ detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8& amp;psc=1 On Mon, Mar 5, 2018 at 2:22 PM, Amy Lustig <xxxxxx@gmail.com> wrote:In my experience the Chattervox is the best voice amplifier for amplifying whispered speech. It's compatible with speakerphones, both cell and landline. However, it is wired. I have not found any wireless voice amplifiers, (other than room-sized ones that rely on FM or infrared technology) that are sufficient for personal use. If you find one please let me know!
Sent from my iPhoneI'm interested in any suggestions you may have in your collective repertoire of knowledge and experience. If anyone prefers to respond off-list, my email is xxxxxx@gmail.comThis is a question about a patient who does not have ALS. I'm looking for a voice amplifier that amplifies a whispered voice well without extra background noise. My patient was bitten by a dog as a toddler and has paralyzed vocal folds. She speaks quite competently in a whisper with very good articulation, but her job requires verbal presentations. We have explored the Chattervox, Zygo Voice amplifier, and Spokeman. A bluetooth mic has been very valuable in reducing background noise and resonance. This patient is employed and gives presentations of 30-60 minutes regarding video technology. She also talks on the phone. I am looking for something that will provide the best gain as well as integrate with amplifier and telephone. We are exploring text to speech options as well but she is not over the moon about those. We have also discussed VocaliD as a possibly more personal voice.thanks,Lisa
