Subject: For RESNA News: Apple's New iOS 7 Accessibility Feature!
Reply-To: RESNA's Assistive Technology Forum <xxxxxx@LIST.RESNA.ORG>

To the RESNA News Department,

Greetings, I'm a RESNA member and learned of a new accessibility feature in the beta version of iOS 7 that was released yesterday that I have been testing and wanted to share it with RESNA members in case they haven't seen or heard about it yet.

Under iOS 7's Settings > Accessibility there's a new option named "Switch Control" that allows use of the iPhone by sequentially highlighting items on the screen that can be activated through an adaptive accessory - but here's even greater news - iOS 7 now has a built in switch option that uses the iPhone's built in camera as an input/tracking device, so I configured my iPhone to track my left head movement to select items on the screen, and then tracked my right head movement to step to the next item … all hands free and built into iOS 7!

Have a good day!
