Okay thanks so much Antoinette for the video, I had my visit and my clients are temporarily using Verbally with a BT > head switch.  I will see how this goes, but for an update I got into Speech Assistant AAC and am happy with how I got the auto-scanning going with 1 switch.

I made a quick video as well if anyone is interested:
https://youtu.be/WvS_Sgjg6KI

Notes:  iPad mini using Speech Assistant AAC in auto scanning mode. Activation (1 switch) is set to tap anywhere on the screen. Note: The double speech output you hear of the first 2 words ("This is") is due to me enabling the speech output in two locations-so that normally wouldn't happen. Many changes were made to make this particular setup-in iPad General Keyboard Settings, Accessibility, as well as within the App itself.

Jackie,

I took a couple videos that you can see how it scans - you could also look at point mode, which would be a much faster way of getting around the screen. Particularly for single switch scanners - point mode can really speed up their access.  If someone could have two switches, then you can do step scanning as well.

I would also look at Proloquo4Text - there are a lot of settings that you have to arrange the items on the screen.  In my videos I have the quick talks on the right, but you can move them to the left to be quicker to access for scanning.  The company will provide demo copies if you are a facility and ask them.

Here are some quick videos (forgive the quality) of these two apps:
Verbally - Scan Patter Item Mode - https://youtu.be/DY9ZbA7WGcQ
Verbally - Point Mode - https://youtu.be/cfDQWQbk31s
Proloquo4Text - Item Mode and Point Mode

Yes thanks that was part of it, I assumed it did but wanted to verify.  I was also wondering how well the scanning is broken down.  For example, does it scan first to the top 3 tabs -> then move in chunks to the Quick Word button section -> the keyboard?  Or is it button by button? I'll give it a try this Thursday, just wanted to do my homework early.

I guess that leads to another question, what does everyone recommend for the most efficient text based scanning app's on iPad-only using a switch? Any new finds?

It is switch accessible in the sense that switch control on the ipad
will can through the buttons.  Is that what you were asking?

Hello,

I don't have the Verbally App in front of me (see:
http://verballyapp.com/features.html), but I have a client that uses it
and loves it.  Contemplating loaning her bluetooth switch for it but am
unable to find whether it's switch accessible on the site?  If it is,
has anyone had clients that have used this App with switches and did
they have any feedback?
