Hi Everyone,
I wanted to give everyone a heads up that John Costello, Chris Gibbons, Trinity Deibert, Daisy Clay and I are providing a hands-on workshop called A
Journey with ALS at the ASHA Convention this Saturday from 1:00-3:00 (session HL23). The Workshops/Labs are new this year and a little hard to find in some of the planners so I thought it might be good to let our AAC groups know about it.
Our workshop will be providing hands-on experience with the technologies we think are essential to pALS. Of particular interest this year, John will be
showing us brand new advances in voice and message banking. You will learn how your clients can message and voice bank simultaneously. Chris will be making sure we all know how to install the messages our clients have recorded into their SGDs and even into
iOS devices. I will be introducing a new AlphaCore page set that will come standard on Grid 3 and Grid for iPad that is specifically designed to meet the needs of your clients with ALS and other literate populations. You may also get a chance to try a device
or access methods you have not gotten your hands on yet so be sure to join us if you can.
Sincerely,
Amy Roman, MS, CCC-SLP
