Passing this information along -- not ALS related but Sue is looking for AAC professional feedback for those of you that are AAC experts.
Thanks,

Hi all AAC specialists:
I have a request to see if you have any information you can pass onto my group.
We have just come to the end of a 2-year pilot project, in partnership with the Minnesota Department of Human Services (which oversees Minnesota Medicaid/Medicare), looking at the role that AAC can play in reducing 'challenging behavior' for a group of adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (I/DD) with complex communication, sensory, and behavioral challenges. We are looking for examples of states that are exceling at providing AAC services for adults with I/DD living in residential settings (e.g., group homes). Our hope is to share this information with our state policymakers in an aim to hopefully improve our state's AAC service provision for this population. You can either share your experiences here or email me at xxxxxx@livelifetherapysolutions.com<mailto:xxxxxx@livelifetherapysolutions.com>. Thank you so much.
