Subject: Oct 25 Eye Gaze, etc workshop

Hello everyone,

My staff has been busy getting the schedule together for an eye gaze and brain computer interface workshop being hosted by ICAN Talk Clinic and the AAC Institute. Registration is now open for this unique workshop covering these vital and innovative AAC access technologies on Saturday October 25th at the Crowne Plaza, Pittsburgh South, PA. This "eyes on" technology opportunity will update professional practitioners, administrators, and potential users and family members with the latest high performance speech generating devices (SGDs) that support eye gaze access along with an update on the clinical application of BCIs to support communication.

We are very grateful to our participating AAC manufacturers. You will be able to experience the eye gaze technologies of Dynavox, LC Technologies, Prentke Romich Company, Tobii and more. Go to http://www.icantalkclinic.com/eye-gazing-workshop.html to download and complete your registration. Early bird registration is only $125.

Finally, you don't want to miss the special benefit luncheon with keynote speaker Margo Broehl, Esq., chief legal counsel for a leading AAC manufacturer who will update you on the most recent and accurate information on the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) policies and other policies taking effect related to Speech Generating Device (SGD) and eye gaze funding. We see this event as a service to the AAC/AT community.

Registration includes workshop sessions, continental breakfast, benefit luncheon and afternoon break. If you have questions, please contact Everlyn Mienert at xxxxxx@aacinstitute.org or Shannon Carney at xxxxxx@aacinstitute.org or 412-402-0900. Please, feel free to share the attached information about the workshop to those you feel would be interested.

I look forward to seeing some of you in October! and staying for the evening networking in the lounge after a long, productive day.
