X-10 with switch Antoinette 15 Mar 2011 18:07 UTC

Forgive cross posting

Is there a device that sends X-10 with a switch? I am working with an ALS patient who needs to be able to send a X-10 signal with a switch, but he does not want to have to scan, just simply hit a switch to send an X-10 signal.

He has limited hand function. He does not want to use a capability switch, but I am not sure that there is a way around that because he us having difficulty activating the remote doorbell that he is currently using.

I am not aware of any device that allows for this so I am asking if there is a device that will send X-10 signal with one switch activation - no scanning.

Or if anyone has a better idea.

This patient is very particular and wants something small that can be attached to his wrist.

Any and all ideas welcome.
